By this time last year I had flown 3 times in January, 4 in February, and 5 times in March.
It's now April 7th and the last time I flew was November 29th! I guess Mother Nature rules and when she decides it's time to fly I shall......
Nancy - I am so sorry! Frank was one of my favorites back in Kankakee - and I was so honored to be invited to your wedding. Many fond memories of him (and you) He was definitely one of a kind!! I've been out in Maine over twenty years now - but always check on news back home. My sincere condolences to you. Frank simply didn't 'love' life - he devoured it!!
Nancy..I am sitting in my car at an airfield in Newark Ill watching ultralights do touch and gos .I started thinkong back to 1987..The summer of my greatest adventure..when Frank Beagle , Rich Bryant and I flew our Flintstone Airplanes to Oshkosh from Koerner Field..I flew white knuclked most the way and focused my attention on Franks tail so I wouldn't get lost...When I tell people about that adventure they are very surprised...I guess I don't come off as a thrill seeker..And I'm not...Any ways I googled Frank to see what he was up to..and found out the sad news of his passing....If not for Frank I I'd never had taken that flight..I would never had that Adventure of My Life..I'd never get to tell that story..and I d never get to see the surprised lookon their faces....THANKS FRANK..!!!........Steve Devine
