Lately I've given up on waiting all day for the winds and the bumps to die down. Besides that I'm retired... so I get up at 6:00 am, take a cup of coffee, head out to the hanger and go flying 'bout 7am when it's nice and cool, smoooth, and just fly around watching the town wake up. He brings me into his office, has me sit down, and then starts grilling me on airspace, runway markings, sectional reading, plotting a cross country, rules and regs, you name it. Even though he knows I've been flying for over 30 years and respects my ability.

It shows that he is a professional DPE and takes nothing for granted. You had better know all that is required before you go in to see him.

Well I kept him happy for the oral and I went and got my airplane out of the hanger and picked him up. Flying was a piece of cake and I did all he asked perfectly.

After we landed he disappeared into his office and showed up a few minutes later with a piece of paper in his hand and said, "I know you've always played by the rules, but now the FAA says you are legal."

FINALLY!!!!!!!!

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 244px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0XatQC0lz98aUjF42DZbWRTGQJSgMA07F_Dmidc1AWM2LugS9WhuaaeHTdAflPo9oK8_I2ks-5mKjBstQi_HBwry_8Gn9WuOEDQ6AtK5AXsXumSd6aErNq5Nad9ESQrbD0DSiJg4Tu1c/s400/Untitled1.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5334225148239287330" />Frank "Woof" Beaglehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00905848153657766971noreply@blogger.com0
